Things to do for New Years:

1. The famous Possum Drop in Brasstwon is a very popular activity in the mountains. Mote than two decades ago, Clay Logan started lowering an opossum in a Plexiglass box, akin to the ball drop in New York. The Possum Drop is a family event (no Alcohol). There is bluegrass music, tribute to the Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, free coffee and hot chocolate, and food available to purchase.
There is aslo a Miss Possum Queen COntest, which involves cross-dressing beauty queens competing to claim bragging rights for the year.

Travel with Santa
The Santa Express: Featuring “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. 
Check the TRAIN SCHEDULE for various dates and times. 

Daytime fun-filled trip with Santa while listening to “Twas the Night Before Christmas” Christmas story, sing Christmas Carols, visiting with Christmas characters and Santa. Each child receives a traditional  memento,  Christmas Activity Book and a candy cane.

Saturday, December 31st. Departs at 10:00 PM and returns at 12:30 AM - Tickets $85 Adult, $150 Couples Plus Tax

Join us to ring in the New Year.   While on board, you will receive party favors, adult beverages and an appetizer tray. Entertainment by Scotty Paulk and Noah Sampson. At midnight, you will be served a special sparkling wine to toast in the New Year!  Make your reservations early.
